An edifice dominated by steel and glass, whose roof looks like a giant aircraft wing, fully extended, this is the new terminal building of Maya-Maya Airport in Brazzaville, capital of the Republic of Congo.
The airport’s renovation was carried out by a Chinese company and Asia Pacific Power Limited, formerly known as FG Wilson (Engineering) HK Ltd, supplied FG Wilson diesel generators up to 1100 kVA to support the airport project. The terminal, covering more than 90,000 square meters, is designed to handle more than 2 million passengers a year. It helps Brazzaville in becoming a transport hub for Central and West Africa. It was one of the signature projects done by Weihai International Construction Engineering Co Ltd in Congo. It is also one of the projects where China has supported Congo to achieve its basic infrastructure development program.
